Shadow Warrior 3 release date news arrives in August and we can confirm the game will still release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC this year! Wang can also use different weapons upon executing foes in addition to his trusty katana and selection of firearms (which you can see more of here). Instead of a loot-focused title with randomly generated stages, levels are linear with more platforming and new movement options like wall-running and grappling. Shadow Warrior 3 directly continues the story from the second game with Lo Wang and Orochi Zilla teaming up to locate a dragon. The mention of “PlayStation” and “Xbox” also seems to indicate other platforms besides the already-announced PS4 and Xbox One. It noted that release date news for the title would be coming in August and also confirmed that “the game will still release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC this year!” With Gamescom 2021 taking place next month and Opening Night Live returning to kick the show off, a release date may be announced there. No release date was mentioned outside of “2021” but the developer has provided an update on Twitter.
